Aside from the fact that he plays for the sorry *** Royals and was the opening day starter, does anyone have info or opinions on this guy?

He is pretty good. Had some good games last year. He do decently this year. If he was on a better team I would be all over him.

runlevys has some bonafide skill, however being on the royals it scares much people off of him.
i tell you what, last year padilla stormed out of the gate and people wondered if he was for real... randy wolf did too, and now tony armas seems to have figured "it" out..
i'd give runlevys a shot if you've got someone who's almost an innings eater in your rotation. right now there might be some better waiver pickups, but if the kid wins 12 games with a 3.75 era, it wouldn't exactly be the kind of shock that you'd get from, say, todd hundley pulling off a .300/30/100 year while throwing out 75% of baserunners.
