Hey TAVISH, true, nothing is perfect. Haven't looked at BaseRuns alot, will have to look at David Smyths data over at FanHomes Saber section, thanks. I like RC myself. It's fairly simple, and fairly accurate (90-95%. At any rate, any of these are better then straight runs, rbis, or average.
BIBSYBOB, spot in order has no real relevence, other then the higher up, the more PA. The job of Salmon hitting 1st or 5th, hasn't changed. The job of Ichiro hitting 1st or 3rd won't change. It's to create runs.
Interesting that a leadfoot, high strike out guy like Salmon, has a higher career oba (389), then the slap hitting, contact, low strikeout gazelle Ichiro (374). Oh man, the power of the walk, and waiting for a pitch to drive (eye).
