Which 2 of these 3 closers will have the best years?
Right now I have Mesa and Dotel but Kolb is sitting on the WW and is looking very enticing.
Does anyone have any projections on how many saves each of these guys will get by the end of the season?

Kolb on the WW
Mesa 30-35
Kolb about the same
Dotel if he holds the job all season he will get 35-40. I was not convinced at the beginning of the season he would make an upper tier closer as the majority of people in here seemed to think.
From what I have seen from him this year I am now convinced of that. He is a far better set up man but with Lidge maybe a year or two away from the closers role and with that pitching and offense behind him he will still get many chances but will blow plenty as well.

I'm still very high on Dotel. He usually starts off a bit slow but turns it on big time over the summer. I'm still saying a top tier closer...probably just out of the top 5.
Kolb comes next, then Mesa down low. I'm still not sold on Jose Mesa.

the problem with dotel is... the stros blow every1 out if they win.. just like today.. they were leading 3-0 at the bottom of the 8th, i was hoping it stay'd like that so dotel can come in and get the save. but noooo, bag annd berk( cuz i have him) had to both get 2 run HR's

Dotel is having the same problems as Issy, Julio, Borowski and Smoltz. Just not getting regular save opps. which equates to regular work, which equates to premium performance.

kolb's K rate is what puts me off him. Not because the K's really help you win the league, but because it means he isnt overpowering guys. And if hitters aren't striking out, then they are putting the ball into play, which means they are giving themselves more chances to get on base. I predict a rough patch for Kolb in the future if he doesnt start K'n guys more, cuz guys like that usually tend to go in and out of rough patches that can drag out.
Dote;, since his velocity is back he has looked sharp. I still think he is the best guy right here.
Mesa - suprising the crap outta me, as everyone else. I told my bro to drop him at the start of the year. Yesterday he abused me for it.
Dotel.. a potential complete stud.. me still has faith
Kolb.. his K's will come, whip is the put-off
Mesa... hes not THAT good
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.
