Could Steve Finley be traded?

Postby RoxSolid » Sat May 29, 2004 11:52 pm

While watchin the Phils telecast earlier today, I heard them mentioning that the Phils could use a leadoff hitter, particularly a CF at the deadline. Being a phils fan, i know this is the weakness now, but they mention that besides beltran, steve finley could be available. For you d'back homers is there any chance finley could be moved. I think he would be perfect in Philadelphia, and his fantasy numbers would increase in this park :-)

Gotta think Finley is a real possibility for a deal somewhere. Makes sense for 'Zona.

is he a FA this winter???

Every team in the hunt for October could use finley... maybe the Red Sox or Astros if Hildalgo doesn't pick it up... but Finley wont go for much.. he is freaking old... Phillies, Red Sox, Giants, A's, Houstan are my best bets

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

i dont see oakland going after him. they already have kotsay, kielty, dye and byrnes - yeah they arent great but i would think that they would address 2B before they got another outfielder....
