Weren't the Red Sox doing a closer by committee? Doesn't that mean they don't care about "save" stats, and when a pitcher rolls right through the eighth, they keep him around for the ninth? WTF!? Sorry, but that 9th was downright ugly. Embree, what are you doing???

Just goes to show how much control a sp has on wins. Wins are by far the hardest stat to forecast.

Definetly because not only can relievers mess it up but so can run support and defense. It is more of a team category.

i may have lost 10 pts for the win today on Pedro but still got +18.. but the guy with Embree got -4.5 and is stuck with the fact that the next game a save chance is there.. Embree wont be the 1st guy out(hopefully) So he can count on a big zero from that loser the rest of this week i'd say.

Maybe when Boston is sitting at home this October they'll think that maybe we should have a guy that is a proven closer.
