Definately looks like he'll be out awhile. As much as I hate the Yanks, you hate to see something like that happen. It was just good hard baseball on both players part. Unfortunate though.

Yes that did look bad and to all fairness I wish Jeter a quick recovery. What kind of fantasy aspect do you think this has, I know it will downgrade Jeter and little bit but does this upgrade Enrique Wilson??? Or anybody else for that matter???? I would think he would be next in line, correct??? Please don't get me wrong here, the fact that Jeter is hurt is horrible and I wish no injury upon any player. Get well Derek if in fact it is as bad as it looks.

I hope that this does not end Jeter's career, I hate to see this happen to that good of a player. That collision looked pretty bad. On another note, I offered someone a trade for Jeter today, thank god he hadnt checked yet, that coulda screwed me.

They're confirming that it is a seperated shoulder, but no other info has been released. Jeter is at the hospital for precautionary reasons now.

Nevin seperated his shoulder and is out for the year. They haven't said how long he'll be out, but Jeter owners better start damage control. Tough break. He's a real class act.
