WOOHOO!!!!!! A bunch of the young players looked good today.

Here is my mini-scouting report:

Hernandez: Strong outing, threw strikes. Only gave up 2 hits in his 6 innings pitched.

Grimsley: Struggled with the first to batters he faced then settled down. Gave up 1 hit in 2 IP.

MacDougal: Awesome outing, Perfect ninth. Changed speeds flawlessly. 95-99 on his fastball, 75-87 on his change up.

now the defense:

Berroa: Awesome game defensively, looked like a gold-glover out there, made an outstanding play to end the game.

Randa: Struggled a lot at 3B, although he did make a couple good plays.

hitting/baserunning:

Sweeney: made good contact (of course). heads up running on the basepaths manufactured us a run.

Relaford: pinch hit for Berger. worked the count and drew a walk. (sweeney scored on two wild pitches in his at-bat). Stole second efortlessly.


Well that is all i have for today. Just though i would let you guys know what i saw (for those of you who could not be there).
