Has Konerko really been streaky this year?

His game log says otherwise...looks sort of consistant to me.

In the past three weeks he has been on fire, but he did start off slow. His average is up to .278 after last nights 3-5 but was well below .250 early in the year.

An allstar two years ago, he had an off year last year. I imagine he will finish the year with .290 30 hrs 100 RBI if the White Sox lineup continues to stay hot.

Actually, his average was only below .250 for a strech 10 games, and he batted .299 in April. He has gotten more rbi's lately because Frank Thomas and Carlos Lee have been hitting better in front of him, not really because he is hitting better. From game to game he may be streaky, he does not put together long game hitting streaks. But his monthly averages are not inconsistent, with an off month here and there. I think he has been consistent this year, check out the stats.
