Chacon blew ANOTHER save today....keep your eyes on Brian Fuentes, I think if not tonight, definitely if Chacon blows one more save...he'll have the job (pure speculation, but educated guess at least).

Chacon was pulled after giving up the tying run, and because Fuentes already had pitched a scoreless 8th, (some guy named) Harikkala came in and gave up a 2 run bomb to Bonds to end the game.

It's too bad Fuentes is in the thin air, the guy is an absolute stud and would probably be on par with K-Rod as a MR anywhere else. I'm still holding out hope he gets traded to a contender by the end of the year.

He would still have some value...it's not impossible to be a good closer in Colorado (think Jimenez pre 2002).

Very true, the possibility of him taking over the closer role would certainly add value. Out of the mountains he would have good value even as a setup man. He is currently on my $$ team and is in everyday they play on the road.

From Rotoworld:

Shawn Chacon - R - COL

Shawn Chacon blew a save for the second straight day and the fourth time this season tonight against the Giants.
Chacon allowed two runs before being removed and left one man on base for Tim Harikkala, who gave up a home run to Barry Bonds, the only batter he faced. Chacon could be on the verge of losing his job after giving up runs in four of his last five appearances, but he was pitching quite well until the current stretch and he's clearly the Rockies' best option in the closer's role. If he is temporarily made a setup man, Brian Fuentes would become the favorite for saves
