Greinke does it again

Greinke seemed unshaken by his sudden new popularity. Held 7 solid innings with only 1 ER, 1 BB, and 7 hits. The 100 PC in 7 innings is about right and he only had 2 K's, which was expected.

Good news: On my keeper team
Bad news: Was on the bench (he woud have to stay up there for a week)
Good news: I decided to Keep Cliff Lee in the rotation and he won.

I think Greinke could be the next Maddux. He looks good already.

Somehow, I have a talented staff where Worrell, Myers and Greinke are on the bench but my pitching is 6/12. Geez.

It's hard to predict, but the "good ones" (like Maddux et al.) generally have good starts I guess. They all go through the slump at some point...hopefully it's not too harsh...I just don't like the negative points (like Santana ). Anyway, the guys on sports center at least are hopeful and they can be pretty synical about fresh dudes like Greinke...

he looks great early, then again most young pitchers do when they first come up (aka willis and harden last year). Though I have to say when they said he wasn't a strike out pitcher, that might be an understatement. 12IP and just 3 k's?? That is Reuter like. Let's hope his era and whip stay good, otherwise he doesn't have any redeeming values on a losing team like the royals.

I'm pleased. I'll take the low ERA and WHIP. His wins will come, even on the Royals.

Greinke's going to be good and everyone knows it. He's not a dynamite investment for this year however because the Royals know how young he is. They'll want him on a lower pitch count then they had last him last night and less innings so as not to risk injury. The peripherals should be nice but don't expect a bundle of wins. He'd be on my team any day but his time is coming quite soon just maybe not quite an 04' stud. I'm quite possibly the only person who thinks this but so be it.
