Why was he taken out for Robinson? Just a defensive replacement or what?

im watching the game...he just left the field and was seen the next inning eating popcorn in the outfield bleachers...weird huh?

from CBS sportsline:
Brian Giles of the Padres was ejected in the top of the 7th inning by home plate umpire Ron Kulpa for arguing balls and strikes.

Not that you care probably but Giles was wrong, it was a strike, heh.
