Who was the first major league player to have 20 pinch hits in a season.

Not sure if he was the first but Dave Philley had 24 in 1961.

I'm not sure if this guy was first but he is definetly before Philley:

Doc Miller got 20 pinch hits for the Phillies in 1913.

My info says it happened after 1913. I don't know about Doc Miller

Miller did have 20 in 1913, but I'm not certain whether he was the first.

I will give credit for Miller. My info said it was Ed Coleman in the 1940s
