Which SP and RP should I drop?

Postby ob187 » Mon Mar 31, 2003 3:41 pm

I'm in a 10 team league and I am overstocked in SP and RP. I need to drop one of each, but don't know which ones I should drop?

Pitching: (ERA, K, S, W, WHIP)

SP - Which one should I drop?

Milwood, Kevin SP PHI
Colon, Bartolo SP CHW
Sabathia, C.C. SP
Lopez, Rodrigo SP BAL
Lawrence, Brian SP
Fossum, Casey RP

RP - Which one should I drop?

MacDougal, Mike M. RP
Urbina, Ugueth RP TEX
Baez, Danys SP CLE
Kline, Steve
Acevedo, Juan

If you really need to drop one SP and RP it would be Fossum and MacDougal. Fossum is a very good, young talent, but he is unproven. Some predictions on him are 8-10 wins max. MacDougal is another young talent, throws 95-97 mph. But he does play for the Royals and there won't be many save opportunities. I would try to hold onto him because Kline and Acevedo will be setup men before Izzy and Rivera come back.

I like Fossum a lot, but if you must drop one it should probably be him. MacDougal definitely.

I would drop Lawrence and Kline. Kline isn't a closer like the others and Lawrence is on a horrible team.

Acevedo isn't a closer, either. Like Kline he is filling in while the true closer is injured. However, I think I would keep Yankee Acevedo.

I think Fossum is the starter to go.
