I was looking over at ESPN.com 's predictions for this years winners, and a couple analysts put Pat at thr NL MVP slot. What's everyone thinking about this? Wishful thinking? He's due? Maybe a year too early?

I don't know about MVP, but I just traded for him with the gut feeling hes gonna have an incredible year.
I'm thinking .285/40/135

I almost traded Bernie Williams for him...decided to play it safe though. I think he'll put up huge numbers this year. He's just gonna improve.

I'm predicting the overhyped Pat Burrell is due to be a huge bust this year.

I personally don't think Burrell's going to do as well as eveyone's saying. He's kind of like Ritchie Sexson - they both strike out way too much, but they still had pretty good HR/RBI numbers last year. I predict both of them to post a drop off from last year because of their 150+ strikeouts. We'll see, though.

I agree about the strikeouts. He definitely needs to learn some discipline at the plate. But with the Phillies updated roster, I
do not see a huge dropoff from last year. He will be good, but certainly not an MVP candidate, not yet....
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
