The opposite of my other post. Who's primed for a fall and good to foist off on an unsuspecting owner.

Paul Byrd - I threw him in on an early season trade and then watched him win and win. Now a sore elbow added to a mediocre pitcher at best means run away.

Shea Hillenbrand - I am simply not a believer. Probably at maximum value now.

David Wells - wine women and song and a creaky back. Will wear down.

John Burkett - I don't get it.

Jay Gibbons - has cooled considerably and is reaching his natural level.

Tony Batista - very hot and cold hitter has been hot - wait for cold.

Interesting list, and very much on the mark. I think Gibbons has reached a low, however, and wouldn't bring much in return right now. Besides, I believe his talent is real, although it may take quite a while for him to put it together.

One guy I've been wondering about is Kip Wells. Sure, he has the tools (now even more so than two years ago when so many fantasy folks were raving about him), but some of his games seemed to be more smoke and mirrors than anything else...
