OK here we go---Worst trades of all time

Postby BlueBallz » Wed May 26, 2004 9:51 am

I want to talk a little about some of the worst trades of all time and would like some input in this....I'm talkin real trades not fantasy trades!!!

I think i will list my top 5

1) Bobby Abreu for Kevin Stocker----thank you, you idiot Chuck Lamar

2) George Bell For Sammy Sosa---ouch, thank you white sox

3) I believe the Cubs traded Palmeiro in his prime to Texas for Mitch Williams---that hurt

4) Babe Ruth for cash----Oh you poor chowds

5) Larry Bowa for Ryne Sandberg---I believe that was the trade---that hurt

Those were just the 5 that came right off my head...As you can see I am a Devil Ray/ Cub fan

Let's get some more in here

Not all time worst, but notable: Heathcliff Slocumb for Derek Lowe and Jason Varitek.

And the Pedro trade (to the Sox) was pretty good.
I'm back. Sorta.

Expos traded RJ plus two other players (don't remember who right now) for Mark Langston. C'est dommage (that's french for "that's a shame").
