Anyone have any info on rumors of cubs trades. I've heard two rumors. 1. That we're looking at trading for SS omar vizquel to replace the injured Alex Gonzalez and his horrible backup ramon martinez. and this other very intriguring rumor that we're sending corey patterson and some prospects to seattle for ichiro and freddy garcia.

Anyone know about this?

That first deal doesn't sound too good and that second deal seems unlikely. I doubt Seattle is willing to deal Ichiro away.

I agree, I dont like the first one and the second seems unlikely as you said. No, I havent heard anything.

I would not trade Corey. He's just starting to come into his own and he's one of the only fast guys in their lineup. He's also one of the only lefties.

Hendy said he's not going to trade Corey because he is a great person and athlete

Ichiro to Chicago? That would be fantastic, but unfortunately that will never happen. Ichiro is loved in Seattle HUGELY and if you've ever been to a game at Safeco, you'll understand why the team would have a very hard time trading him away. I counted more Ichiro jerseys in the seats than hot dogs.

I have a few rumors. One is getting Guardado from the Mariners for prospects and another is getting Steve Finely (for who I don't know) I also heard the Vizquel rumors, but hope it doesn't happen. Also a future rumor is that after this season we could end up with either Maggs or Nomar (I was drooling when I heard these). That's about all I've got.

The latest rumor I've heard is that the Cubs are going after SS Orlando Cabrera of the Expos and would be giving up A-Gon and a few prospects.

or the three way deal with the dbacks and bosox. sending prospects to arizona the unit going to boston and garciaperra comming to chicago.

That three way deal seems to be dead as RJ doesn't want to go to Boston. The chances of getting Nomar are slim for the Cubs. Hopefully we can still get Cabrera and some bullpen help.
