with jordan (possibly out for the season) and mench on the DL does he have a chance to play everyday?

Texas just called up Gary Matthews Jr. to replace Mench.

Nix will play vs. lefties sometimes, but even if he does, I wouldn't recommend playing him if you have a backup alternative. But I would recommend playing him against every right hander no matter what at least until he cools down.

i see that he went 1 for 4 against two KC left handers last week...

and he DNP on the 18th against affeldt...
