How Bad will KC be when they trade Carlos Beltran??

They are hurting right now and plan to trade him. The reason I ask is that i just picked up Affledt. If Beltran is gone will they still win close to as many games?

They will be last year's Tigers. Gonzo will be injured by that time, and a chance Sweeney might also. Angel Berroa better break out of his slump soon, they will need him for cleanup duties at that time. !+)

I agree...the Royals are last years Tigers and Detroit is last year's KC...they have swapped spots!

The Royals are horrid...we knew their pitching would suck, but who new their defense would be this bad?!? That should have been one of their strengths...but it has turned out to be a disgrace.

The Royals are horrible now, will be horrible when they trade Beltran, and will be horrible after the trade because they won't get anybody worth a crap for him...

This will be the epitome of what is wrong with baseball. The Royals have one of the best players in the game, developed him themselves, can't afford him once he becomes great, and won't be able to get what he's worth in a trade because his scumbag agent has said they won't do a sign and trade, he's going to be a FA at the end of the year.

I love the game, but I hate the business.

God Bless the Royals for competing last year...should have know it was too good to last.

The very reason people shouldn't be using #1 waiver positions rushing to pick up Greinke.

For this year -- Bad team, limited innings, low K's = another Ryan Franklin ;-D

KC reminds me of last years rangers.

herrendous pitching. and under acheiving offensive power mostly due to injuries.

somethings to note:
-Berroa had a bad april and may last season (almost as bad as this one) expect a turnaround
-Dealing beltran might help club house chemistry...(arod anybody?) its not like they can get anyworse.(so atleast look at the bright side)
-Sweeney although battling durability issues the last few seasons, is only a couple years removed from a batting title and 30/100 season.
-Juan Gone is still one of the best power threats in the AL, if he can string together atleast 250AB's 2nd half, they can atleast compete.

Still got a gold glove caliber 3b in randa, a young SS with good range and a cannon for an arm......a consistent hitting 2bagger, and one of the best corner infielders in baseball when healthy (sweeney) this team has bright spots, but i cant say anything positive about there pitching staff, other then grienke, and a handfull of young pitching prospects that haven't panned out.

Good analysis.....only KC is a bit older than the 2003 Rangers were
