Ok, so scratch that previous e-mail, the guy has offered my Olerud and Patterson for Guardado. What's the consensus? If you're so inclined, I posted my roster a couple posts ago

When I read the title of this post, I thought the Cubs had traded Alfonseca...

Anyway, I still don't see Olerud as a significant improvement for your team. Patterson is nice, but I still don't think the offer justifies parting with a solid closer, at least not if you can make daily lineup changes.

If you see Olerud as a prize, perhaps counter with Guardado + Zeile for Olerud + lesser closer?

I think I'm going to pick up Millwood and try to renegotiate a deal. The way I see it----if the Rockies keep averaging 7 runs a game like they have over this homestand, then Zeile's value will have increased. I was hesitant about him because one of his assets is that homerun haven he plays in.
