Its early and I highly doubt he'll get the wins to make a run at it but I'd have to list Sheets as a candidate for NL Cy Young.

How is Manny not getting consideration for AL MVP? He's hitting .351 with 11 homeruns and 25 RBIs, a .430 OBP and an OPS of 1.055.

He's carrying that team while Nomar and Trot have been out all year.

I was wondering the same thing myself Trans. Manny's carried that team so far with those other guys out and his numbers speak for themselves. Add that to the fact that he's on a 1st place team and how he can NOT be mentioned is beyond me.

On crack? Well, look at the numbers so far:

Pudge: .337, 7HR, 33 RBI, 3 SB
Vlad: .346, 11HR, 36 RBI, 1 SB

Pretty close, no?

Pudge is the best defensive catcher in the league and has turned the Tigers from a laughingstock into a mediocre team. (And has stolen more bases, at that.) I think Vlad wins at the end of the season but come on, man, it's not that ridiculous if you look at the numbers.

AL MVP: Carlos Beltran...IF he gets traded and helps a contender to the playoffs...he'll have more than good enough numbers...

AL CY: Hudson...but don't count out Halladay just yet...
