The Reds are playing some great ball, and Griffey has hit the ball well since breaking out of 0-for slump. Couple of questions:
1- Can Griffey stay healthy all season? It seems like he should be hurt by now.
2- If he can stay healthy, what do you think his final numbers will look like?
I'm thinking something like
.285 38 HRs 110 RBIs 95 runs
His average sucks right now, but he does have 10 HRs and 34 RBIs through 41 games played.

IF Griffey can stay healthy all season I'd see nothing holding him back from posting something like:
37 homeruns, 105 RBIs, .285-.295 avg

I don't know if Griffey will stay healthy the entire year, but if he does, here's my prediction:
500 AB, .280 AVG, 39 HR's, 108 RBI, 6 SB
I need Greinke help:

you guys are cutting Griffey way too short. If Griffey stays healthy I'm saying he will challenge Bonds for MVP and put up 40+Hr easily and atleast 120 RBI batting average should be around 300

.300? He's hitting .245 through 155 ABs right now.
Assuming he gets in 550 ABs, he'll have to hit .320 the rest of the season. I don't see that happening. He's hit .320 over a season only once.

Coming from a HUGE Griffey fan here.....Weapons is right. If Griffey hits .280-.290, consider yourself very lucky. I think .275 or so is more realistic. His power is definitely there though...I could definitely see 40 HRs if he stays healthy (and if he has protection all season).
As much I would would love to say he will hit .310, it's just not going to happen. I hope he proves me wrong though, he's incredible.

why would his average suddenly improve that much? is he as good as years past after all that surgery?
There is no "I" in team but there are two "I"s in statistics - oh, there are also a few "tits" in there also.

With a swing as sweet as his anything is possible. 40+ HR's and 110 RBI if he stays healthy which I hope he does because he is such a great player to watch.
