With all the uncertainty about Garret, its a great trade. Even if Garret were healthy, Maggs is still better.

Dye looks injured? Have you been watching the games or just the stats? I've seen almost every A's game this year and he looks fine to me. He hasn't been getting the hits like he was early in the year but to bust out saying he looks injured is a little premature. You didn't expect him to keep up his pace all season long did you?

Not in our league I hope :-o

That trade is bordering on criminal. You are basically getting Maggs for Dye. I still can't see Anderson coming back this year despite all the assurances.

on baseball tonight they showed a couple of hits he had earlier last month about how slow he was running and that he looked injuried. He couldnt run out the bases in time. Must have missed that one eh?

That's a great trade considering anderson's injury. However, mags is certainly not >>>>>anderson when both are healthy. Looking at 3-year average splits, mags averages .315, 33, and 115. anderson averages .303, 27, and 121. mags is the better player, but not by the huge margin that most assume. If both were healthy, I'm not sure that's a great deal.
