Casey has been tearing it up. Oviously I don't expect him to continue batting .380, but will he have a great season none the less? I have been recieving some deals for him and wondering if he will continue to produce. Discuss
What are these deals? If you have another solid 1B, I would consider trading him. I did the same w/ Mike Young and got Soriano, so you could get someone pretty good.
If your other 1B are horrible, keep Casey and look for a backup.
I wouldn't sell him at all, the reds are for real and Griffey is almost back to 100% they will challenge all year. I bet you can't Griffey for cheap right now. Casey will score alot of runs hitting in front of Griffey.

like usual it depends on what you can get, granted he won't hit .380 but lifetime hes over a .300 hitter so i'd expect him to finish somewhere around .315-.320, and while hes not a pure power hitter 24-27 hrs isnt out of the question, especially playing in GAB. If you can live with those numbers, and 90+ rbi which you should be able to, id stick with sean
Casey wasn't healthy all last year, and hasn't really been healthy for a while. If he can stay healthy, with Griffey, Kearns and Dunn protecting him.....he should have no problem hitting .340-350 by the end of the season. Yes, you heard me correctly. He has one of the best eyes in baseball.
As an example, Houston chose to intentionally walk him with only a runner on 3rd in order to get to Griffey in the 8th inning. How much respect is that?
He should also hit 20-25 HRs with well over 100 RBIs and a good amount of runs.
Sell high when someone gets injured in that lineup....but hold onto him for now.
I feel that he will definitely match/exceed his outstanding 1999 totals. Ditto on slomo's outstanding advice about selling when someone get injured in the Cincy lineup.
Yes definetly, its not that he can't put up big stats, its the fact he is so injury prone. Always trade an injury prone guy for the same level guy with a healthy history whenever you can.
