Peterson rocked :(

Postby Amazinz » Mon May 24, 2004 2:48 pm

Mets pitching prospect Peterson has been doing real well this year but in his last outing he gave up 7 ER in 2 IP. :( This only raised his ERA to 3.56. Hopefully this was just a bad outing and he gets back on track the next start.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

At first I thought you were talking about Rick Peterson. Then, reading it, I realized it was Matt.

It's one start. In the words of Jay-Z, he'll go and brush his shoulders off. He'll be fine.

Yeah I should have specified. ;-)

Woah! Giving up seven earned runs in two innings...Is he related to Bartolo Colon or Mike Hampton? :-D But if those seven earned runs only raised his ERA to 3.56, that means he must have been absolutely lights out so far. I wouldn't worry about one bad start...
