He'll be filling in for Marcus Giles. He'll probably split time with Jesse Garcia though...
With Rafael Furcal and now Marcus Giles sidelined by injuries, Green will get some starts at second base for Atlanta. The 25-year-old rookie made his major league debut by replacing Giles after the veteran broke his collarbone in a first-inning collision with teammate Andruw Jones. Green went 1-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.
For now, with Furcal day-to-day with a jammed right ring finger, the middle-infield spots will be manned by Green (2B) and Wilson Betemit (SS). Jesse Garcia enters the second-base mix when he returns from a bereavement leave on Monday or Tuesday. Green batted .377 in 22 games at Triple-A Richmond before his recall on Friday.
Well I picked him up in a 22 team league based upon the fact that he was leading the International League in BA.
I'm not going to keep him for any extended period of time due to the obvious question of his playing time, especially now that Furcal is back in the line-up, but I doubt Bobby Cox will bench him in lieu of Jesse Garcia while he is swinging a hot bat and playing sound defense. So...I'll keep him until he starts losing time.
"Who's Karim Garcia? I have no respect for Karim Garcia. I have no respect for that guy. I don't have anything to prove to that guy. He needs to be forcing himself to come up to where I am, to my level."

funny you ask-i went to the Braves yesterday, and he had 2-3 MAJOR errors in the field. not sure how many he was charged with, but he looked terrible.
