22 in a row now and counting for Joe Borowski

Postby NZF » Sun May 23, 2004 10:41 pm

This guy gets a ton of criticism but he just racked up his 22nd save in a row dating back to last year. 1-2-3 through the heart of the Cardinals lineup.

There are not too many better to close out a game than this guy.

It's pretty simple Dusty. Use Jo Bo only in save situations :-)

As a closer 8-o Jo Bo is gold. Just think if he got the save opps. Graves gets. Man he would give 70 a nudge :-D

Whenever he gets on mound when it's a non-save situation, he gets shelled. On the other hand, when he gets on mind on a save situation, he rarely messes things up. ;-D

I'm all for diffrent opinions on the board but this is just plain awful

Off of the top of my head 15 guys I would rather have close games for me:

Gagne
Rivera
Foulke
Izzy
Percival
Hoffman
Guardado
Smoltz
Wagner
Urbina
Cordero
Benitez
Dotel
Graves
Looper

Also I think Kolb would get the nod over Joe as well.

Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

Borowski is definitely not the best closer. Rivera and Gagne come to mind when I think of great closers. I think Hawkins would make a better closer!
