well, friend, it depends somewhat on whom you dropped and whom you've retained.
are you asking how we feel burnett will perform? he'll have a rocky first month, then he'll settle into a rhythm and be lights out down the stretch. how's that for a prognosis?
I think it's a good move but I would have waited a tad bit....
Is your league closely monitored? Do you think someone might have grabbed him before you?
I know in my league the guys are not paying attention as much. They do make changes but they only go for the hitters with the hot bat. I'm sure they are paying attention to Burnett.
I'm going to wait a week or two I don't have an available DL or bench spot for him and there's no one I can drop now.
I have him stashed on the DL in my keeper league. Not expecting sensational results this year, but look for big things down the road . He's always had filthy stuff, and I'm hoping 2005 will be his breakout.
May 23 A.J. Burnett (P) Fla allowed two hits and one unearned run in four innings on Sunday in a rehab start for Class-A Jupiter, according to the AP. Burnett struck out four, walked two and threw two wild pitches.
Whose place do you think he'll take in the rotation? Oliver is awful but Willis has had a Dr. Jekyl & Mr Hyde season. D-Train was relugated to bullpen duty in the postseason last year; do you think McKeon might do the same when Burnett comes back?
You guys are crazy. If A.J. is still a free agent in your league, you are lucky. For, he should have been picked up after his first good rehab start.
D-Train is batting about .350, he is not going to become a reliever. If you look at the entire season, he has had four good weeks and three bad weeks. And a 4-2 record paired with a 4.06 ERA should not force a pitcher into relief.
