Ok so I've been waiting for a while now for him to pick it up but the guy just isn't. What strategy do you guys usually use in this situation, do you wait it out or usually replace him with someone (like Utley, Bellhorn, or Walker), until he heats up?
I picked up Brian Roberts while he was hot and it was perfect...now he's cold. I have put Vidro back into second base and hoping he will take the bat out of his a#$. He is a career like .310 hitter so he is bound to start hitting well. I say today is his day! You heard it first...(please lord, let it be )
start him.
All I want out of life, is that when I walk down the street folks will say, "There goes the greatest hitter that ever lived."

I really need Vidro to heat up as well. Figured he was just a buy low candidate, but he's still stuck in this slump. I'm just having patience and keeping him in there, so when he finally comes back (or at least has a huge night) I'll have have him active.

The way I look at it my patience with Vidro is about 300 ABs. So he has about 150 ABs to go before he stops occupying a bench spot and hits the WW.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
If you pick up someone like Utley and bench Vidro, I would do that. Utley is playing hard for a spot when Polanco comes back. And since Polanco wasn't good before the DL, the kid might get a shot.
I wouldn't hold on to Vidro that much longer. He doesn't contribute to many categories....O. Cabrera is a different story, don't drop him. But I think if Vidro is still slumping in a week or two, you could drop him if there is a viable replacement out there.
The fact that he signed a contrat extension i with the Expos makes him less valuable this season. He wont be traded to the Yankees now. I'm holding on to him, but my patience is stretched...

The fact that he signed has nothing to do with it, he still has a good chance to be traded...
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!
Vidro should have been benched long before now...if you have the roster spot's to do so. Utley is a great replacement right now and should be so for at least another week. Vidro is too good to just cut loose. He is a great buy-low candidate and will most likely put up great numbers after the all-star break.
