Can't consider it a "blown save" if he didn't give up any earned runs, can you?

He'll be fine overall. The Royals will have trouble giving him opps, but when they do, he'll collect a decent amount of saves.

Thing is Chavez should have never got to the plate. Berroa mis played a routine grounder to short and extended the inning.

Pena must not have any confidence in any of the other RPs. He put Affeldt in for a two-inning save opp? I hope he doesn't make a habit of that.

well, he's coming off duty as a starter. i don't think 2-innings appearances are going to kill him.

my sentiments exactly, don't wear him out but he could be a great closer this year. Great as in Great

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

Many have stated that some of the problems he had as a starter were due to lack of stamina. A closer is expected to go out there and give it up on every pitch. To do that for two innings on a regular basis would not be good for him. Occasionally may not be too bad, but hopefully not a habit.
