Was anyone watching the Padres game? Did they give any reason why Akinori Otsuka, the confirmed setup guy for Trevor Hoffman, wasn't brought in? They instead decided to bring in Linebrink to start the 8th with a 7-5 lead, then when he faltered they brought in in Witasik. Did he throw too many pitches in his blown save yesterday or something?

All I know is that I reallt needed that hold.

Pitched both ends of the DH on Wednesday, plus a rough stint Friday. Time for a day off.

Besides losing the hold chance today, I was afraid he might've lost the grip on the setup spot after he fell apart yesterday.
