Appears he will return to the majors NEXT WEEK. Things have gone from hopeless too very very good in a short amount of time.
From Rotoworld: GM Jim Duquette said it appears Jose Reyes, barring a setback, will rejoin the Mets Friday when they open a series at Florida.
Reyes is already in Florida with Single-A St. Lucie and could play 7-9 innings today if his hamstring is up to it. ''In his voice it sounds like the tentativeness is gone,'' Duquette said. ''We'll see how it goes. We'll take it on a day-by-day basis.''
(Then 15 games until he's 2B eligible for Yahoo leagues)
Here's the LINK from Mets.com definitely still some good news. I am not sure where RotoWorld is getting Friday from seems a little early to me but here's to hoping.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

And another link from the NY Post saying he could be back for Memorial day.

He has to start 15 games before re-injuring his hamstring until he can gain 2B eligibility If Dave Roberts is any indication, his troubles aren't over. I'm still glad I don't have him.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."

I have been nothing but doom & gloom concerning Reyes but this specialist has done an amazing job. Reyes goes from almost zero lateral movement several days ago to stealing a base last night. Let's hope these shorter strides did the trick and will prevent him from reinjuring it.

not a bad strategy JB. Only worry might be if he burns you in the SB category. Something to watch for before shipping him out. (Whether he'll still run)
Maybe not at first but I bet he gets the opportunity to bat leadoff.
