Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Might be my imagination but those crazy Mets hit themselves out of a save situation every time it looks like likely!

I'm shocked Looper has been as good as he has been. He was horrible last year, and doesn't get many K's, but maybe he's got the opposite kind of nerves that Benitez has. He likes the spotlight apparently.

I actually think he's underrated, time will tell though because he had a terrific spell the early part of last season and then fell apart towards the end of it. However I think a lot of that was due to the uncertainty introduced via Urbina, but we'll see ;-)

This is the running joke on the Mets forums. Looper is the Anti-Benitez. :-)

Well there will be more erned runs to come imo. Actually Looper may not be that bad this year, but don't expect his pitching to stay this hot.
