at least the argument is that he woulda had the save had angel not made the error.
What do you guys think? Is his job that he'd had for 1 day already in trouble? Or does he get at least 3-4 more tries?

He'll probably get a few more chances especially until Macdougal gets himself together.

He pitched very well with that one exception obviously to Chavez. I am going to make the case that he shouldn't have had to face Chavez at all. Berroa's error allowed the tying run to come to the plate. It's one thing if he gave up a home run to someone who sucks but Chavez last time I checked is a pretty damn good hitter. I can't imagine Pena giving up on Affeldt after this one game. Should have another week or two to make an impression.

I really think that he will stay the closer for a t least 2months, maybe by then Macdougal gets his act together
I will have to say that 42 pitches in 2 innings is worrisome..

also... the KC management needs to get a clue and only have a 1inning closer... none of ths 2 inning crap
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.
