Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - The Arizona Diamondbacks Friday activated first baseman Richie Sexson from the 15-day disabled list.
Sexson, who was placed on the disabled list on April 29 with a bruised humerus and slight tear of the labrum in his left shoulder, had missed the last 19 games with the injury.
He hurt the shoulder in an April 28 game against Chicago while swinging and missing at a pitch before crumbling in pain.
The 29-year-old Sexson, acquired this past offseason in a nine-player trade with Milwaukee, is batting .241 with nine homers and 22 RBI this season.
In a corresponding move, the Diamondbacks sent outfielder Dave DeVore to Triple A Tucson.
