Yeah, so I'm not bitter about people not answering my last post about Utley, but if he's not on your watch list, add him now. The man has 3 HRs and 9 RBI in the past week at a very shallow second base position, having homered again tonight.
The Phillies have been singing his praises for years now. Maybe now is the time (unintentional Larry Bowa reference).
I know its a makeshift lineup with your best hitter out (Thome), yet seeing him bat 5th is very promising, especially with a hot Lieberthal after him. So what's his long term playing time going to look like? Well he share time with Polanco and Bell, or does Polanco go to utility?
As poorly as Polanco has been hitting this year, it's hard to imagine Utley not getting some serious playing time. Bowa has insinuated that he's going to get "a lot" of time, but what that means can be anything from every third day to all the time. If I were the Phillies, I'd leave him full time, at least until he cools down. Hopefully they'll be sensible and leave that production in the lineup.
Thats a tough call.... I am in the same spot... my league is a points league, which devalues the SB in this case its very close to more of towards Utely, however in a roto league i would hang on to Roberts who is a SB king when hitting, which he isn't

im in a h2h league, and I also have Vidro, who has been killing me, too. I have Beltran and Figgins for steals, but Figgins has also had trouble getting on base recently.
