beltran--still undervalued?!

Postby benjapage » Fri May 21, 2004 2:17 pm

in espn fantasy, the last three one-for-one trades that are posted are abhorrent:

beltran for glavine
beltran for jose guillen 8-o
beltran for kerry wood

um, is it just me, or is he still--despite everything--strikingly undervalued?

other trades (ridiculous)
beltran for sweeney and biggio
beltran for mesa and beltre

...i could go on, but hopefully, my point is made. what is happening, here?

yeah, yes...

People are morons in those leagues.........anybody who knows anything realizes that Beltran is one of the best fantasy players, if not #1.

You sure you are not talking about Beltre?? Those trades would make a lot more sense if that was the case. :-*

The only current Beltran trade in my leagues

Beltran and Hudson
for
Gagne and Graves

I would be upset except the team giving away Beltran is ahead of me right now, so the the trade is wonderful.

LOL, he must have needed closers BADLY. Even so, he could have gotten Rivera/Gagne for what he's giving up.

Oh yeah he needs closers pretty bad, getting the #1 from last year and the current #1 (in saves at least) this year isn't too bad. The nice thing is that it effectively kills his starting pitching staff and takes a good chunk of his SB. Another first place for me!!
