Melvin Mora - is he for real?

he's 32,
and before this year, a career .262 hitter

but ever since switching to third base, his average is over 300,
and he's close to pushing .390 so far this year

i really really doubt him,
but for some reason it doesn't seem too flukey either...

Last year he was leading the majors in batting for a while, too. Then he was back to his usual self. Ride the hot streak, as it's doubtful anybody will give you anything worthwhile for him.

he's a notorious fast starter.

Last year he was batting very well, even past his "fast start" , but an injury ended his season and battle title campaign.

i expect him to go into a big slump soon, and bat 250 post all-star break.

As has already been said he is a great first half hitter but a notoriously terrible second half hitter. If he is still doing great at the all-star break deal him fast.

In Mora's defense the reason he fell off in the 2nd half was he battled major and various injuries and played thru them.

Obviously I doubt Mora will keep up at his current pace but I do think he can put together a fine and solid season.
