At first glance Horacio's numbers look pretty good, but his walk rate and WHIP are absolutely frightening. He found a way to win last year when the Braves offense was a strength; with his lack of control and run support this year tonight's well-pitched game might represent the high point of the season for him. My guess is the walks will catch up to him and it'll be downhill from here.

Bullcrap.
He has 7 quality starts, including a CG tonight. I believe he now has a 1.24 WHIP and 27 BB on the year. Not to mention a 2.06 ERA.
He should be 7-1.
"Who's Karim Garcia? I have no respect for Karim Garcia. I have no respect for that guy. I don't have anything to prove to that guy. He needs to be forcing himself to come up to where I am, to my level."
His WHIP and walks were very poor last season, but if you watched him pitch he just needed to learn a little. This year he seems to have learned something and is pitching better just not getting the wins due to the poor offense in the A.T.L.
When Chipper and Furcal are back healthy I think the run support will increase, but it won't come close to last years numbers.
Most people are saying he is a sell-high candidate, and they expect his WHIP and Walks to be where they were last year. I don't see it. I think he has learned something and will be a 3.30 ERA 1.25 WHIP guy who will get 12-14 Wins
Not bad for a guy most can get off the free agent list.
his WHIP won't be great, and his wins may be few and far between. his ERA also will probably go up as his WHIP catches up to him...but I still think he's way better than anything else you are likely to pluck off the ww this late. let us not forget how great a teach mezzone (sp?) really is. i think he's a solid starter.
Would anyone drop anyone from my roster to pick up H. Ramirez?
I'm kinda fed up with Nevin, but recognize that he's valuable and that I probably shouldn't just flat out waive him (just frustrated I guess). I've been toying with the idea of picking Feliz up with this spot, but could be persuaded to pick up H-Ram instead.
I picked up Affeldt last night before his blown save only because I heard he got the closer job in KC. He's certainly expendable since I've got a lot of closers and KC has only managed a handful of save ops on the season anyway.
Thanks and please leave a link so I can answer yours.
