This is for my H2H matchup from the 21st-23rd. With Beckett, Mussina, and Zambrano not scheduled to pitch in that time period, these are the guys i'm left with. I already have Penny goin for sure, but i'm lookin for 1-2 more pitchers to go with this matchup. So if you could rank these matchups below 1-4 that'd be great. Also if you could try to give a few reasons that'd be even better. WHIR=Will Help In Return. Thanks.
Brian Lawrence @ Philly(Padilla)
Alverez @ Atlanta(Hampton)
Harden vs. Kanas City(Gobble)
Woody Williams @ ChC(Rusch)
Alvarez is by far the best choice. Atlanta struck out 18 times against Sheets, was the victim of Unit's perfect game, and got shut out by Webb for 7 innings. I'd start just about anybody against them, and Alvarez is pitching well.
So are you saying to start Harden over Williams, even though Williams is going against a Sosaless Cubs? Right now i'm sure about Penny and Alverez, but its a real tossup between Harden and Woody.

Tough one....I'd say they are on the same level. I guess if you made me choose, I'd go with Harden even though KC is a lot better that ChC w/o Sosa. But don't be surprised if Woody pitches well (not great) and gets a win.

Even though its not by leaps and bounds, I would say the opposite about the offenses (agree with the Harden choice). Sosa hasn't exactly been lighting the scoreboard, but that Cubs lineup has been downright deadly at times. Lee is starting to pick up some and Ramirez is a time bomb. Plus Alou is playing like a man pissed off at the world.
The Royals have some major offensive problems and the A's have had their number this year. Harden matches up against Affeldt so Harden's chances should be pretty decent.
