Pat Burrell or Vinny Castilla?

Postby edr4225 » Thu May 20, 2004 9:01 am

who will have the better fantasy year? Burrell had a horrible year last year, but looks like hes got his swing back. As for Castilla, hes on a tear right now, but im not sure if he will keep it up. i need some advice.

Both should be good this year. It all depends on whether you need a 3B or OF more.

Burrell will out produce Vinny by a decent margin this year.

I think they'll put up similar numbers, with perhaps a few more HRs for Burrell.

However, given the positions, I'd give the nod to Castilla.

I think you got that around the wrong way.

Castilla batting cleanup behind Helton is the RBI machine, as was Preston Wilson last year in the same possie.

If Castilla stays at 4 all year then they are pretty similar. If Larry and Preston come back then Vinny's value goes down a lot and Burrell will put up better overall numbers.

I guess I'll be the odd man and say castilla. He's going to hit more HR's and get more RBI's this season. They are pretty close right now, but coors is one facter and he's hitting HR's away from home too. Maybe I'm influenced by getting burned by burrell last year....mmmmm....yep, that's it.
