Interesting situation for KC

Postby Arrowhead Nation » Wed May 19, 2004 10:37 pm

Huismann is getting a 2-inning save.....does this signal anything? I am a KC guy and did not see that coming

Sorry if this goes in the new forum...not sure where it falls....

This may belong in the trade, or the game or the talk forum . . . but

it looks like huisman got himself a save in the bigs today (of the 2IP variety) ... wonder if it is a CBC or if he is now the man over there in KC.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

Nice job by Huisman. Field still looks like the lead closer for the time being, but it might be that Pena will avoid using him riht away in back to backs.

Huisman has been closing in the minors, but is not a prototype big league closer. Throws a high 80's two seamer with a lot of late drop, average slider. Excellent command. Was 13-20, 82 saves (0-2, 3 SV at Omaha this year) in minors since turning pro in 2000. Really seems more like a setup guy at the big league level, but if Field leaves an opening, ya never know.
