We know he's gonna steal 50 bases, but what else can we expect this year??? He's off to a good start, can we hope for for a few more R's and RBI's and maybe a little higher Avg????

He's hitting .347!! What more could you want? His steals will come, assuming he doesn't get injured...he seems very injury prone.

I like him as a great source for cheap steals. The runs will come once D. Young is back in the lineup.

So far this year he's stolen 8 bases and gotten caught 7 times. That doesn't look very good, but interestingly, last season he started the year by stealing 8 and getting caught 6, then went 40+ and 13 the rest of the way. Is it possible he's a slow starter on the basepaths?

At any rate, he'll steal some more and the batting average will come down. He's never going to get any walks, and playing where he does he's not going to get many more runs. What you see is more or less what you'll get.

I have no problem with that average, that's what I meant by his good start - I was referring to his average last year.

I don't know if he's injury prone.......I was looking around for a record of why he missed some games, but I assume it wasn't just because of injuries. He was young and maybe he was just in and out of the lineup :-?

But anyway, he's a good hitter, who steals a lot, and will score a lot of runs. He's pretty much Ichiro with more SB's. And he comes much, much cheaper.

Sanchez was always a guy that thought he knew it all and refused to change his approach to the game which is why the brewers traded him and why pods got his chance last year. That seems to have been a wakeup call for him as he's finally trying to use his speed to get hits. He is bunting for hits a lot this year when he used to refuse to do it. I'd expect his avg to be up for sure. Det's lineup is also stronger this year so I think you can expect his R's at least to be up. On the flip side my personal guess is his steals will go down this year but so will his caughts. I think they are going to try to make him more disciplined on the basepaths in the longrun. Thats just a gut instinct though.
