im thinking Sheets in a landslide, considering he looks like a cy young candidate right now, his team is actually scoring runs and hes young.

But hey, if a veteran pitcher who walks a ton of guys and got most of his wins based on good offense, and who now plays on possibly the worst offensive team in the league, and who has gotten bombed a bunch of times already this season is your bag, then hey, more power to ya.....

I become a Russ Ortiz hater a month into last season and dropped that moron! :-P

Russ is a friggin' 100-100 pitcher - that's 100 Ks and 100 walks.

He totally pissed me off. In my league, we have the Anti-Russ Ortiz bandwagon going. So far the guy who drafted him has dropped him, and another friend picked up him off waivers and has now dropped him. And now another friend grabbed him off waivers.. I KNOW that he'll join the Anti-Russ Ortiz bandwagon in a short while!

Ben Sheets! I have Russ Ortiz and cannot stand him. He had a 9 run lead against Anaheim and he could not even get the win! He also does not strikeout that many batters. :-t

As far as I'm concerned, Russ Ortiz was the most overrated pitcher in baseball last year (by non-fantasy players). I hate the guy for that reason. Its not personal at all, I just hate the press he underdeservedly got. A little like Dontrelle, who was incredibly hyped for numerous reasons, while a better performing Webb got almost nothing.

Anyway the answer is Sheets and Ortiz isn't even without miles of Sheets.

Ben SHEETS!

Russ wets the BED!!

You never could figure out why Russ succeeded, could you? Doooood I sure couldn't. He throws a ball about as big as slow as a Princess cruise ship and the batter would swing right thru it, all sound & fury and no contact. WTF?!

Well, whatever trickery & luck made that happen is gone! Drop him as surely as your morning constitutional.
