sometimes I have a hard time separating the call from the announcer. That being the case, i hate Berman so I think I hate "backbackback". However, The whitesox have to have the worst local announcing team but I like the "put it on the board" crap. Go figure.

Jerry Trupiano, the Red Sox radio announcer, goes: "way back! Way Back! WAAAAY BACK! Gone."
Of course, it's often: "way back! Way Back! Aaaannnd.... Caught just shy of the warning track.
The most over the top "Way Back"s were in the Sox/Indians playoff series that went to Boston in a game where everyone on both sides went deep until Pedro came on in relief.
It's also how Sox pitcher John "Way Back!" Wasdin got his knickname.
