I have to agree. Chip Caray is the most annoying commentator of any sport that I've ever heard. He irritates me far more than the Harrelson "put it on the board" commentary, because he is way too cheerleaderish and makes my ears bleed. Steve Stone is an exceptional analyst, but he just can't overcome having to work with such a bufoon. Chip Caray makes me hate the Cubs and want them to lose every game

Rob Faulds (Blue Jays)'s "what do you think about that?" HR call is also very annoying, but people that don't live in Canada have probably never heard him.

Yep, that's a Pacino quote from Scarface. He said it right before he was blown into a million pieces.

Is anyone gonna mention Jack Buck in this post?? How about his Kirk Gibson HR in the 88' series against Eckersley?? Yeah only game 1 but wow that was amazing.

OR

"Smith corks one into right, down the line. It may go....Go crazy folks, Go crazy!!

If your a cards fan you remember that from Game 5 of the 1985 NLCS

I really hope I just over looked any props for Jack Buck

Oh and by the way this is his best call!

Gotta give props to Jack as one of the best all time.... ;-D

But little Joe Buck should be taken out for an afternoon of electro shock therapy.... :-P

RynMan wrote:My favourite Home Run calls come from the guys off Sportscentre!!! I dont remember the guys name but in the highlights he goes "Albert pujols!!......SAY HELLOOO....TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!!!!"
jus cracks.

Other favourite sportcentre calls:

"He's hit that one into the people"
"Bartender!! Gimme a shot of jack!!"
(or for back to back to back the other week):
"Bartender, a shot of jack! But thats not enough, gimme THREE!!"

hehehe. I also love when a guy hits a double in the alleys, they say "he's shoppin' at the gap".

Some other good calls i have heard are from Tom Brennaman in All star baseball 2004 on PS2:

"that balls gonna make like a baby and head out"
"no need to valet, he's gonna park it himself"
"Whip up some gravy cuz that ball is MASHED"

Steve Lyons has another nice one:

"The bat bay is gonna have to start his car up to go find that one"

Baseball rocks.

I remember seeing that SportsCenter. I replayed Tivo to hear that again. I do not remember the announcers name either. I think it was on a Saturday or Sunday morning. I thought that was pretty funny!
