I like the.......Break out the rye bread and the mustard, grandmas. It's a grand salami. I also like the John Sterling calls because he gets so worked up and he gets it wrong quite often. It's so funny hearing him break out with the.......It is high. It is far. It is caught on the track. Then, the excuses come. When he gets them right, he does add excitement.

Typical scenario: It'll be a 2-2 to Bernie. The pitch. It is high. It is far. It is gonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnne!! A HR for Bernie Williams. Bern, baby, Bern.

Harry Kalas' home run call is my favorite. Then again, I'm from Philadelphia and grew up hearing it.

not exactly a home run call but i enjoy it when sammy hits one and does his little hop and chip gets all excited and says 'deep fly ball, this one has a chance'.....(or something like that) then stoney chimes in and says 'and its corralled just short of the warning track by the outfielder.' chip has to be near the record for the amount of false home run calls. he thinks everything is going out.

Living in PA, I'm always getting the Phils on TV so hands down for me it's Harry Kalas' either "Loonnng drive" or "That ball is outta herrrre". Even better when it's a walk-off or big moment HR.

I guess Joe Carter's HR call over the Phillies in '93 doesn't make your list, does it? I still remember watching the ball fly over Incavilia's head in left field............

"Now the 2-2........Well hit down the left field line........way back and GONE! Joe Carter with a three-run homer! The winner, and still world champions, the Toronto Blue Jays! Touch 'em all Joe, you'll never hit a bigger home run in your life!"

That tops them all for me.

Worst HR call: Chris Berman in the HR derby. Hearing "Back back back back back back back back back..........gone" 50 times in one day is NOT something I enjoy.

People in Toronto might remember Gene Principe's highlight calls from Sportsline. "You can butter that one, it's toast." Thought it was mildly amusing at first but the novelty wore off after hearing it 8 MILLION times. They drove that sucker into the ground. It was disgusting. I actually made a point of not watching sportsline anymore because I knew I would throw up if I heard it one more time.
