What is the point of this? The only thing that I really learned is that republicans like to make baseless accusations and generalizations.

Some generalizations there but a lot of truth too. But you can sum it up a lot easier: liberals are bad Americans.

(notice I didn't say Republicans = good; Democrats = bad. It's more like conservatives/libertarians = good ; liberals/socialists/populists/communists = bad.....very bad)

There's still a lot of this bitter, divisive campaign ahead of us, folks. Methinks it might be better for the Cafe if we didn't start throwing generalizations around, or at least keep them in the realm of humor...

Adequate: If you look at the text no where do I state I am a Republican or that the Republicans are the way to vote.

I am a conservative and it is Liberals I dispise and their Hatred for this country and what it was founded on.

There are many good people (albeit mis-guided) in this country who vote Democrat.

The home for LIBERALS is the Democratic party. If the Democrats all the sudden became conservative I would vote Democrat.

Both sides of the isle are guilty of power grabbing and self-perpetuation, it just happens that Republicans push the issues I am concerned about more than Democrats.

If the Liberitarians had a snowballs chance in hell, I would vote Liberitarian. B-)

Vote Libertarian anyway.

Both of the major political parties have been corrupted as it is - Democrats by socialists and special interests and Republicans by big business. It is my opinion that there isnt an elected official in Washinton that isnt in someones pocket. Neither party has good ideas going forward regarding how to fix some major issues like health care. Both are tyring to pass more laws restricting our choices in how we choose to live.

If I could change one thing about our government I would target campaign finance reform and the corruption of politicians by outside interests. Wishful thinking at best, I know, but wouldnt it be nice if politicians actually didnt have alterior motives?

Yeah that's why so many are apathetic when it comes to voting. It's sad really, but I think of voting as picking the lesser of two evils, because no one [general public] knows enough to vote for the smaller parties who would at least try to make a difference or so they say, therefore they won't win. Even if they did win, they would become the majority and the process would start over again with the corruption. I think the founders got it right when they didn't encourage political parties, and many opposed them. I guess doing away with them is not really fair or what America stands for in terms of freedom of speech/gathering, but that would make things a little less partisan I would think (hope). :-D

If there was true campaign finance reform I would be for it but it seems both parties are only interested in silencing the other to gain more power.

Democrats would love to silence the internet and talk radio while Republicans would like to shut hollywood up (Just thinking of Madonna with a sock in his mouth makes me happy :-) )

Someone doesn’t become a “bad American” just cos they don’t have the same views as you do. And wkelly, someone might actually be willing to try to understand your views if you tried to come up with some real REASONS and FACTS, not some stupid half-baked generalizations and stereotypes. with something like this you just come across as close-minded and bitter. :-t
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.
