I know many may think this is impatience, but should I drop him for Cliff Lee? I was skeptical having Alvarez in the first place, seeing his age and lack of dominance even when he was good like 10 years ago
It's only one game. Yes it's a brutal one at that but we knew he couldn't pitch that well every time out. Oh well here's hoping for a good outing next time.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I benched the likes of Beckett and Mussina in my H2H matchup for Alverez, so i'm hoping for a good outing...Just thought i'd get a thread goin so we can post his progress, and if anyone by chance is watching the game on TV, they can update us on how he looks.
Thanks a lot thrash

hey its not my fault, im just as pissed as the rest of you, if you dont like the fact that i started the post, dont click on it, neways he was bound for a bad start...if u actually believe in jinxes then u have problems.
Getting advice in this forum is really a good thing but it really comes down to a gut feeling on pick ups and starts. A Cafe-er can ask a question on A or B and get 4 replies...2 for A and 2 for B. So, just ingest all the opinions and don't be impulsive.
Also, I shopped Burrell all last week for a SP and was rejecte 5 times. Everyone had a derogartory thing to say about him.
He looks good tonight. I have Abreu, too. I swear, two weeks ago it seemed like Abreu was sucking wind, didn't it?
My Friendliness bar...recently shrunk from 11.3 to 10mm long!!

This is starting to sound like Matt Riley all over again.
