Last season, Juan Rivera of the Yankees going back on a flyball in batting practice and running right into a golf cart that was left on the warning track. Blew out his knee!

Can't remember who it was a couple of season ago but I think it was John Jenkins (someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong) sliding into third base and totally tearing up his ankle. It wasn't pretty.

an old one, and i don't think he really got hurt, but Jose Canseco getting bopped on the head for a homer is still the funniest potential injury out there.

I mean, come on... spraining a ligament sneezing? That's too stupid to be made up. . .
that's even worse than brian griese's injury last year... maybe I am confusing players though... wasn't he the one that tripped over a dog? (I mean, tripped over his B.A.L. and hit his head on a rock?)
the player who tripped over his "dogs" and fell down the stairs, breaking both wrists was (hopefully former soon) Bears Defensive Tackle Bryant Robinson. Let it be put on the record that he also has a DWI, so I betting the dog tripping incident was alcohol related
My vote for worst injuries. I dont recall the years these happened.. but I recall the worst injuries I've seen happen while I've been watching the game was M.Alou when he was with the Expos and after rounding 1st on a ball he hit to the outfield he started to go back to 1st seeing he wasnt gonna make 2nd, but his cleats caught in the turf and turned his ankle completely sideways. Ending his season.
2nd worst or easily could be wrose than Alou was Schilling(1994?). When he threw that pitch it looked like his arm was gonna go to the plate just as fast as the ball. He dropped to the ground in such pain. I remember them playing that in slow-mo and then in real time and you could hear his arm pop. I thought his career was done after that.
